Randco Tool & Mold has
a complete mold building facility furnished with the latest solid modeling
software, CNC and CAD/CAM capabilities (SeeEquipment
list). We believe that mold quality determines part quality and
thus we have been building our own molds for 35+ years.
Mold Construction:
At Randco Tool & Mold, a variety of techniques are
utilized to reduce the overall tool cost and lead times. One cost saving
technique includes the use of standard unit inserts by Master Unit
DieÒ (MUD) and D-M-E Mold Bases. Stand alone or free stand tools are always an option.

Mold Materials:
We employ various steel alloys such as P20 or NAK-55 for many of our tools
and use surface treatments to extend tool life and wear. Hardened
or copper inserts are often used in wear applications. We can also build
aluminum tools for low volume runs. Of course harden, tool steel, molds
employing H-13, S-7, A-2 are always an option.
Mold Types:
We are experienced with molding in inserts, hot runner molds, unscrewing
molds and side action molds (cams, core pulls, etc.).
